Contents
SCUBA diving
There are several programs with similar but slightly different approaches to instruction and certification in self-contained underwater breathing apparatus, in addition to different specialties.
Among these are:
Surface Supplied Diving
Most industrial dive operations use surface supplied air, a very different skill from SCUBA.
Commercial Diving Codes of Practice and Regulations
- DNVGL-OS-E402 Edition January 2017 Diving systems (Det Norske Veritas)
- Offshore units DNVGL-RU-OU-0375 Edition July 2017 Diving systems (Det Norske Veritas)
- Diving Health and Safety in the U.K.
Shiphandling
Ship handling is subject to national and international standards. Most nations have adopted or based their regulations on The International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers (or STCW)
