Talk:Low Cost Wave Tank
I think that by spending more time checking around we could find a wave tank smaller and cheaper than Berkeley. I did a quick Google check and did not find it, but there have to be more options out there. There are 300 foot by 300 foot wave pools that movie studios rent for $70,000 per week (see http://www.bajastudios.com/). Vincecate 14:51, 24 September 2008 (UTC)
There are wave pools that swimmers can play in at some of the water parks. I bet you could bring a toy boat (or seastead) in the water, if it was not too crowded, and play with it. Vincecate 14:51, 24 September 2008 (UTC)
Poor man's data recording: suspend a fixed checkerboard delimiting decimeters or inches behind the model, and film from a fixed position. Data is limited to 2 dimensions only, but it's a lot cheaper than loading wireless accelerometers and power source on the model.--Jesrad 17:14, 27 November 2008 (UTC)
