DIY instructions for making your own pint-glass spar platform.
Purpose
- See that a free-floating spar platform can be stable.
- You can make waves in the glass and show the wave response.
- Fun!
Suggested materials
- Spar: a straw
- Ballast: some lead shot (or pebbles?). Weight?
- Platform: a beer coaster.
- Website selling easy malleable plastics.
Instructions
- Clip/staple the bottom of the straw closed.
- Pour in ballast.
- ? Good way to connect coaster
- Add load/decoration to platform (plastic figures?)
