Description

In order to reduce wave motions, we can increase effective mass by entraining seawater.

Solutions

This can be done by surrounding the water, like a semisub, or using large baffles (heave plates). Hanging ballast can function as heave plates.

This pattern can be used in many different designs, by simply adding underwater baffles or plastic bags/containers, which are filled with seawater and thus neutrally buoyant.
